Having been
in the color carpet maintenance business for over 15 years, I've
seen almost every situation related to carpet spots and stain
problems. You, the customer, do everything possible to maintain a
clean beautiful carpet and consider this a major investment. You
have the carpet professionally cleaned and leave your shoes
outside etc.. But there are times when accidents do happen. It may
be a bleach spill, or some other cleaning chemicals or even some
store bought cleaning items that drip on your carpets and cause
permanent spots. In cases like these, no carpet cleaning will
remove the spot because of >>>> loss of color.
I developed
this carpet dyeing kit ( the same acid based carpet dyes
that the carpet mills use) for these specific problems. It is easy
to use, and the color or colors you need will be sent to you
for your specific spot or spots. It will contain a custom color to
color match your particular carpet color thereby potentially
saving you hundreds or thousands of dollars.
Keep in mind
spot dyeing is not always a perfect situation I will send you the
color or colors needed to add to repair the damaged area or
areas as close as possible. They are more like water colors,
the colors are mixed usually using primary colors to achieve the
desired color needed for the specific situation. Sometimes
depending on variables like size of the spot, color, fiber
content, type of carpet and cause of the problem it can turn out
almost 100% perfect
( example drips and drops ). Other times the results may not
be as good, especially if the staining material has damaged the
fibers in this case it may be up to a 70% improvement only and you
may still see a residual in the affected area, or in some
instances may not work at all accepting no dyes the fiber
yarns are totally destroyed because of the chemicals that are on
the carpet.
Dyes are not
a paint. They do not cover the spot like paint would. With that in
mind is very important that you describe the exact color of
the problem. That is why my knowledge in this business can go a
long way to fix your problem, in that most nylons and wool
carpets are repairable.
Keep in mind
some carpets stains are very numerous and affect a room or the
whole house and consideration should be given to having the whole
carpet professionally steam cleaned first to thourouly rinse out
to all areas affected. Carpet stains can reappear or wick back up
making it difficult for the carpet to accept the dyes. Bottom line
is to sure that all carpets in this affected areas are rinsed out
first.
